Israeli Escalation in South Lebanon
The Lebanese airspace is currently witnessing low-altitude flights by Israeli warplanes over the city of Tyre and several villages in the district, accompanied by intense reconnaissance drone activity.
Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes launched a wave of airstrikes on southern areas, with two strikes targeting the town of Meiss El Jabal, resulting in the injury of one person who was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Earlier, the Israeli army issued a warning statement urging residents of Meiss El Jabal, Kfar Tebnit, and Dibbine to evacuate buildings for their safety. Meanwhile, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced that “the IDF has begun launching a series of strikes targeting Hezbollah military positions in South Lebanon.”
Additionally, an Israeli drone strike was recorded on Dibbine, along with an airstrike on Kfar Tebnit, in parallel with combing operations towards Marjayoun’s main road to Markaba originating from the Israeli Marj military site.
