🔴 Urgent | Lebanese Army Statement on Developments at the Lebanese-Syrian Border Yesterday and the Security Measures Taken

The Lebanese Army confirmed in a statement its continued communications with Syrian authorities to maintain security and stability in the border area, after several Lebanese villages and towns in the vicinity of the Al-Qasr – Hermel region were shelled from Syrian territory.

The statement indicated that Lebanese military units responded to the sources of fire and reinforced their presence to maintain security in the area. It also mentioned that the Lebanese Army took exceptional security measures and conducted intensive communications with Syrian authorities, resulting in the handover of the three bodies to the Syrian side.

This follows an incident on March 16, 2025, which led to the death of two Syrians and the injury of another at the border, with the injured being transferred to a hospital before later passing away.
