🔴 Urgent | Lebanese Rockets Fired Toward Northern Israeli Border; Israeli Army Announces Its Response Targets
The Israeli army announced that five rockets were launched from Lebanon, with some intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems. According to Israeli Army Radio, this marks the first such incident in three months and is considered a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Regarding the incident, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized that Israel will not allow repeated rocket fire from Lebanon toward Israeli towns in the Galilee, stating: “We have promised to ensure the security of the Galilee towns, and that is exactly what will happen.” He also stressed that the Lebanese government bears responsibility for any fire originating from its territory.
Gallant noted that the town of Metula, located near Beirut, will be a focus of the Israeli military response, adding that he has instructed the Israeli army to strike the sources of the rocket fire from Lebanon.
