🔴 Urgent | The Health Situation in Gaza: Complete Collapse, Difficulty in Reaching the Injured, and Systematic Destruction of Infrastructure
The director of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza reported that continuous airstrikes have led to numerous cases of limb amputations among the injured. Amid these circumstances, the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis urgently appealed to citizens to donate blood due to a severe shortage of blood units.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohammad Abu Salimah, the director of Shifa Hospital in Gaza, confirmed that the health situation in the sector has reached a critical stage, with only four intensive care unit beds available in Gaza City and northern Gaza.
He added that the most basic components of the healthcare system are missing in this sensitive period, emphasizing that no cohesive health system could handle the large numbers of injured people under such dire circumstances.
Abu Salimah further explained that medical teams are facing great difficulty in reaching targeted locations to rescue victims and injured people who are still trapped under rubble, calling for help but unable to be saved. He also pointed out that Israel has systematically worked to destroy Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure.
