🚨 Breaking: Donald Trump announces military strikes on Yemen.

The United States has announced the commencement of military strikes in Yemen targeting Houthi-controlled sites, including radars, air defenses, missile systems, and drones, according to the New York Times citing U.S. officials. The strikes were ordered by President Donald Trump and carried out by fighter jets launched from the U.S. aircraft carrier “Harry S. Truman” in the Red Sea, aiming to reopen international shipping lanes disrupted by Houthi attacks.

U.S. officials confirmed that the military campaign could last several days, with the possibility of expanding its scope depending on the Houthis’ response.

Commenting on the start of the military strikes, Trump criticized the policy of former President Joe Biden, describing his response to Houthi attacks as “pathetically weak,” which he claimed encouraged the militias to “escalate and advance.” Trump announced a “decisive and strong military operation” to protect American ships, vowing to use “overwhelming lethal force” to ensure the security of maritime routes. He also highlighted the one-year anniversary of the safe passage of the first American commercial ship through the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. Trump called on Iran to cease its support for the Houthis, stating that their operations pose a direct threat to America, its president, and its interests.
