100,000 people were killed in America in a year

More than 100,000 people died in the United States of America during one year from April 2020 to April 2021, as a result of drug overdose.
According to the US government, the daily average number of deaths due to drug overdose reached 275 people, an increase of 28.5% from last year.
According to government data, California recorded the highest number of drug overdose deaths, with 10,408 deaths, followed by Florida with 7,805 cases, and then Illinois with 3,577 cases.
