1,200 Protests Across the United States Against Donald Trump’s Administration
Opponents of U.S. President Donald Trump and American billionaire Elon Musk have called for nationwide demonstrations today to protest the administration’s actions concerning government downsizing, the economy, and other issues. The opposition plans to organize more than 1,200 protests under the slogan “Hands Off,” coordinated by 150 groups including civil rights organizations, labor unions, LGBTQ+ advocates, veterans, and fair election activists.
According to the American news agency Associated Press, the protests are set to take place at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Capitol buildings, and other locations across all 50 U.S. states.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s Policies
President Donald Trump’s administration has been responsible for laying off thousands of federal employees, shutting down Social Security field offices, closing entire agencies, deporting immigrants, and cutting federal funding for healthcare programs. Elon Musk, serving as head of the newly created Office of Government Efficiency, has played a key role in reducing the size of the government. He claims to be saving taxpayers billions of dollars.
It is worth noting that Trump has been promoting his policies since taking office in January 2025, claiming they serve the best interest of the United States.
