20 million tons of Iranian goods through its territory

Iran is seeking to expand the field of cross-border transport of goods and aims to reach a record number this year by crossing 20 million tons of international transit through Iranian roads.
This was reported by the Iranian News Agency, today, Wednesday, noting that Effendi Zadeh, the Iranian Assistant Minister of Roads, said that his country aims to achieve this number during the current fiscal year, which will continue until March 2023.
Zadeh’s statements also came during the 21st session of the meeting of the Supreme Council of Transport in Iran.
He stressed that the target includes the transit of goods that are transported via land roads and railways, with the contribution of port and maritime organizations, customs and the private sector.
The Iranian Assistant Minister of Transport pointed out that a means will be found to effectively link the various shipping facilities by supporting companies working in this field and developing the infrastructure that serves that.
