5 Dead, 7 Injured in Shooting at a Bar in Mexico

Mexican authorities reported that five people were killed and seven others injured in a shooting incident at a bar in Villahermosa, southeastern Mexico, on Saturday evening.
The Department of Security and Civil Defense stated that security forces have launched a manhunt to capture the perpetrators, while reviewing surveillance footage to identify those responsible for the attack.
According to local reports, unknown gunmen stormed the “La Casita Azul” bar and opened fire on the patrons.
The state of Tabasco has seen a recent increase in violent crimes, with a similar attack in November that left six people dead.
Official figures indicate that drug-related violence has led to the deaths of over 450,000 people in Mexico since the government deployed the military to combat the issue in 2006.
