Washington denies involvement in igniting Israel protests

The U.S. State Department denied Washington’s involvement in funding protests inside Israel, and said in the context that “allegations of Washington funding protests in Israel are false and unfounded.”
The United States State welcomed Israel’s announcement on the postponement of judicial amendments, viewing it as an opportunity for more time for settlement.
“We continue to monitor developments in Israel closely and we are in close contact with our Israeli partners,” she said.
“We strongly urge a compromise because we believe it is in the interest of Israel and its citizens.”
The White House said: “Our support for Israel’s security and democracy is strict, but this does not prevent us from holding honest and frank talks.”
