A crisis over the “Israel breakfast” because of the Emirati ambassador

The Israeli Federation of Local Authorities has canceled the traditional annual iftar meal, after the controversy sparked by the UAE ambassador’s invitation to iftar, where Muhammad Mahmoud Al Khaja’s planned participation in the iftar caused anger among the leaders of some Arab local residents, as they told union leader Haim Bebas that they would boycott the event. .
But after Bibas canceled the Khaja family’s participation, local leaders said they would boycott the event planned at the Nazareth Ramada Hotel.
The union committee said that boycotting the participation of Al Khaja is to prevent “the implementation of a political agenda or goals” in the event, stressing that “the event that the Union of Local Authorities holds every year is welcome, but everyone understands the sensitivities, and we do not agree with them in undertaking political moves at our expense, of course.” Not in the middle of the blessed Ramadan Iftar
