A cruise missile was shot down in the Syrian Golan

The Israeli army announced that it had shot down a cruise missile in the occupied Golan Heights, coming from the east, without causing any casualties.
The Israeli army said in a statement, “Earlier today, following the sound of warning sirens regarding the infiltration of enemy aircraft in the Golan Heights region, the Israeli army intercepted a cruise missile approaching Israel from the east.”
For his part, the military correspondent of the Hebrew newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” reported that “the sirens that sounded in the southern Golan were caused by the detection of a cruise missile launched from Iraq.”
On the other hand, the Israeli army said, “After sounding the siren in the Margaliot area, the Iron Dome air defense system succeeded in intercepting a suspicious air target across the border from Lebanon.”
