A demonstration by Hezbollah supporters in Beirut in response to Khalil’s request for investigation

Supporters of the Lebanese Hezbollah rose up and marched on bicycles in Beirut in response to the request of the investigating judge in the Beirut port case, Tariq Al-Bitar, and former minister Ali Hassan Khalil to investigate.
The demonstrators raised the banners of Hezbollah and the Amal movement, considering that Judge Bitar’s request was politicized.
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, confirmed yesterday in a speech that Judge Bitar’s behavior was politicized, and stressed that he would not reach the truth.
For his part, the head of the Kataeb Party, Sami Gemayel, considered that “Hezbollah is now forming itself a republic within the Lebanese Republic,” calling on his party’s supporters to exercise restraint.
