A golden tent was stolen from a New York church

Police say a $2 million gold and silver tent was stolen from a Catholic church in Brooklyn last week, and the statues of angels that surround the altar were beheaded.
The New York City Police Department said that electrical tools were used to “forcibly open the altar” and reach the meeting tent made of 18-karat gold, indicating that the theft took place at St. 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
The pastor of the church, Father Frank Tomino, described the theft as “devastating, as the Tabernacle is the main focus of our church outside worship, bearing the Body of Christ, the Blessed Sacrament, which is delivered to the sick and frustrated at home.”
