A new epidemic, hurry to avoid it through your food

An expert has warned of a common disease that may affect a large number of people, perhaps more than common diseases around the world, including heart disease and cancer.
Dr. Eric Berg from the United States, in a talk on YouTube that was reported by the media, warned of the dangers of autoimmune diseases, as he said that there are more than 100 types of known autoimmune diseases, and these cases occur when the immune system is attacked by Error occurs in normal, healthy cells in the body, leading to their damage.
Common autoimmune diseases include: lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis.
Berg also stated that autoimmune diseases may be a “crazy epidemic” affecting about one in 12 people and one in nine women. Explaining that it is more common than heart disease, he explains that “the one common denominator between all autoimmune diseases is intestinal permeability and leaky gut.”
Leaky gut syndrome is known as an intestinal condition in which weakening of the intestinal walls allows bacteria and toxins to enter the bloodstream. It is also a theoretical condition as scientists are not entirely sure whether it is a disease or a symptom. However, it is a known feature of many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. That affect the digestive system, which includes inflammatory bowel disease and celiac disease.
Berg listed some of the causes of autoimmune diseases, including: vitamin D deficiency, eating seed oils and ultra-processed foods, some medications, and stress.
Berg recommended eating a high-quality diet to reduce the chances of developing autoimmune diseases, saying: “I highly recommend following a ketogenic diet that contains high-quality animal proteins in addition to a good amount of fat.”
He also advised eating plenty of cooked vegetables and a “moderate” amount of fermented vegetables, such as sauerkraut, to maintain a healthy gut microbiome.
