A new wave of Syrian refugees, this time from Hmeimim to Russia!
According to the Russian news agency “Novosti,” a group of 50 Syrian refugees arrived in the Perm region of Russia after being evacuated from Hmeimim Airbase in Syria. A temporary accommodation center was prepared to receive them, providing food and medicine, with plans to later assist them in finding jobs and enrolling their children in schools and kindergartens.
It is worth noting that violent events occurred last month in the Syrian coast, claiming the lives of thousands of civilians from villages in Jableh, Baniyas, and Latakia, according to local and international reports. This led thousands of residents to seek refuge at the Russian Hmeimim Airbase in search of safety, with reports estimating their number at around 8,000 refugees. The “United Russia” party announced platform the arrival of the refugees and the provision of a shelter center for them, according to Russian media reports.
