A shocking decision by the Taliban government that affects public restaurants in the country

The Taliban’s Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the western Afghan city of Herat bans men and women from sitting together in public restaurants, even if they are married.
The agency quoted “AFP”, quoting a source in the ministry, that the authorities had ordered “the separation of men and women in restaurants,” and that restaurant owners were verbally informed of this measure, which applies even to “husband and wife.”
