Abbas warns Israel

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has warned Israel against undermining the two-state solution, saying that this will open wide doors to other alternatives that will be imposed by reality, without specifying what these alternatives are.
During his speech at the United Nations General Assembly today, Abbas stressed that the Palestinian government does not find a partner in Israel that believes in the two-state solution.
He added: “Our people did not accept the reality of the occupation and will continue their struggle to achieve their right to self-determination.”
The Palestinian president pointed out that Israel seized by military force half of the land allocated to the Palestinian state, calling on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, to activate the resolutions issued by the United Nations and to call for an international peace conference under the auspices of the International Quartet only.
