Aircraft sale deal between America and Japan

The United States announced today, Tuesday, that it has approved the sale of advanced E-2 Hawkeye early warning and control aircraft and related equipment to Japan.

The Pentagon said the State Department had approved the potential sale of an advanced E-2 Hawkeye early warning and control aircraft to Japan.

Where the Pentagon added that the Japanese government requested 5 aircraft of this type, in addition to support equipment, spare parts and technical support.

The US Defense Department also indicated that the deal amounted to $ 1.38 billion.

In turn, the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of the potential deal on Tuesday.

It is also noted that despite approval by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the notification does not indicate that the contract was signed or that the deal was completed.
