Al-Ansar Crowned Lebanese Premier League Champions for the 15th Time

Al-Ansar Football Club has clinched the Lebanese Premier League title for top-tier teams, adding another achievement to its record, despite a 2-1 loss to Safa SC. The match took place on Saturday at Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium in Beirut, as part of the 16th and final round of the championship’s Top Six stage.

The team’s title win is largely attributed to striker Hassan Maatouk, who finished the season as the league’s top scorer with 17 goals. His overall tally in domestic league competitions has now reached 120 goals — a figure that solidifies his status as the all-time leading scorer in Lebanese league history.

Consistent Campaign and Notable Records

Al-Ansar had a solid and consistent season that culminated in securing its 15th league title — the most in the history of the Lebanese Premier League. The club now leads the all-time championship list, followed by Nejmeh SC with eight titles. Al-Ansar maintained an unbeaten run over the first 11 rounds and suffered only three defeats throughout the entire season, reflecting the team’s technical stability and competitive strength.

With this championship, Al-Ansar strengthens its position as one of the most decorated clubs in Lebanese football history and marks a strong return to the top tier, as supporters look ahead to continued success in future competitions.
