Al-Mashat strongly criticizes the Arab summit and its final statement

The head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, criticized the Jeddah summit, and considered that the Arab League had failed to resolve the Yemen issue.
“Voices talking about secession and calls for partition receive sponsorship from a coalition that claims to be Arab,” Mashat said.
The Jeddah Declaration was devoid of any declaration to end the aggression against Yemen or lift the blockade imposed on its authentic people.
“We were hoping our Arab brothers at the Jeddah summit that their negative mindset towards Yemen would change but they failed to make that,” he said in context.
He added: “The Arab League remains incapable of realising its duties to the nation’s issues and is a mentality that will not achieve any advanced position in the world order.”
