Al-Qassam Brigades Warn of Fate of Israeli Captive in Gaza

The spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, issued a statement warning about the fate of an Israeli captive held in the Gaza Strip. The statement claimed that the Israeli army is surrounding a location believed to be where captive Matan Tzankotker is being held, placing full responsibility for his safety on the Israeli military.

According to the statement, the captive has been held by the brigades for one year and eight months, during which time his life was preserved. It added that any attempt to rescue him by force could result in his death.

The spokesperson further emphasized that, in the event of the captive’s death, full responsibility would lie with the Israeli army—describing the statement as “a clear warning to those concerned.”
