American-Syrian clash in Deir ez-Zor

Media reports indicated violent clashes between the American forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces on the one hand, and the Syrian army and its allies on the other hand, in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
According to the source, violent clashes took place between the American forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces on the one hand, and the Syrian army and its allies from its positions west of the Euphrates.
The American forces announced that they had launched an air strike on the city of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria, in response to a series of attacks that targeted American bases in Syria and Iraq.
According to a source told Al-Mayadeen TV on Thursday, the eastern side of the city of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria was subjected to an air strike with four missiles.
The sources also explained that the aggression targeted the outskirts of the city of Deir ez-Zor from the direction of Port Said Street and Harabesh, noting that the missiles targeted a bakery and empty warehouses.
The Pentagon quickly claimed responsibility for the aggression, as US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, announced in a statement that the United States carried out strikes at the direction of President Joe Biden, claiming that they targeted a weapons storage facility used by the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and its affiliated groups.
