An Iranian-Korean agreement to release frozen Iranian funds in Seoul

The South Korean Foreign Ministry announced that Iran and South Korea had reached an agreement on the immediate release of frozen Iranian funds, according to what was reported by the Iranian “Fars” agency.

 On the meeting of South Korean Assistant Foreign Minister Choi Jong-kan and his Iranian counterpart Ali Bagheri Kani in Vienna, the ministry indicated that “the two sides held frank and constructive discussions on Iranian-Korean relations,” stressing that “the two sides agreed to immediately release the They also agreed to hold working-level talks between experts to discuss technical issues related to the transfer of frozen assets.”
