An unexpected surprise from the French Federation may ignite anger within French football in Ramadan

The French Football Federation informed the league referees not to stop matches to allow players who are fasting during the month of Ramadan to break their fast during the match, contrary to the decision of the French Premier League, which legally allowed the issue.
And in the French Federation’s message to the international referees, he described this situation as “a phenomenon that does not comply with the provisions of the laws of the Federal Football Association.”
The statement added: “The federation and its decentralized bodies defend basic values, and the French Republic must apply the means to prevent any discrimination or violation of the dignity of any person, especially because of his political and religious beliefs.”
