Aoun: They lied to us that the Lebanese pound was fine

Lebanese President Michel Aoun affirmed that Lebanon is a plundered country, not bankrupt, and the money was smuggled abroad.
On the eve of the Lebanese parliamentary elections, Aoun said, “They lied to us that the Lebanese pound is fine, and this lie is over.”
Aoun indicated that the corrupt are trying to blame the thefts on the Lebanese and hold him responsible for what happened, stressing that the responsibility of the President of the Republic is not to hold the corrupt accountable, and the judiciary should name them.
Aoun vowed that he would not allow sovereignty to be touched or sold on the black market, calling on the people to revolt against those who impede exposing the thieves.
