Arab and Western Countries Condemn Iranian Strikes on Al Udeid Base in Qatar, Affirm Solidarity

Several Arab and Western nations have strongly condemned the Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, describing it as a serious breach of the sovereignty of a sister state and a violation of international law, while expressing full solidarity with Qatar.

The United Arab Emirates warned of the consequences of the military escalation, stressing the need for an immediate halt to hostilities to prevent further destabilization of regional security. Jordan stated that the Iranian attack represented a blatant breach of Qatar’s sovereignty and a violation of international law, while the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described it as an “infringement” on Qatar’s territorial integrity and announced its full support for the country.

Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun called the attack a violation of the sovereignty of a sister state and warned of its potential impact on security and stability across the region. The Secretary-General of the Arab League expressed full solidarity with Qatar and condemned the breach of its sovereignty and airspace by Iran.

At the international level, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his country’s solidarity with Qatar following the Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base, according to an official statement. The British Government also condemned the attack, announcing that it had taken the highest level of precautionary measures to protect its troops in the region. The Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed its support for the State of Qatar and its backing for the measures it is taking to safeguard its security and stability.

Saudi Arabia likewise condemned the Iranian attack on Qatar, describing it as unacceptable and unjustifiable. The kingdom emphasized the necessity of respecting state sovereignty and upholding international law by refraining from any acts that undermine security and peace.
