As part of the scheduled security and organizational measures: Beirut Airport air traffic suspended on Sunday, February 23

Lebanese media reported that air traffic at Beirut International Airport will be suspended on Sunday, February 23, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, coinciding with the funeral of the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, and the former executive director of the party, Hashem Safi al-Din. The media added that these measures are part of security and organizational arrangements, with affected flight schedules to be adjusted.
The funeral ceremony will take place at the Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium in Beirut, where official and popular delegations from 79 countries will attend. The ceremony at the sports city will last approximately 65 minutes, with a speech by the current Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naeem Qassem, followed by the funeral prayer.
The funeral procession for Nasrallah and Safi al-Din will proceed to their burial sites, with Nasrallah’s body being laid to rest along the airport road, while Safi al-Din will be buried in his hometown, Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, in southern Lebanon the following day.
