Grimaldo, who is currently with the Spanish national team, said in statements reported by the Catalan newspaper “Sport”: “Real Madrid is one of the best teams in the world, if not the best, and it is a team that every player wants to join.”
He also added: “But at the moment I am at Bayer Leverkusen… I have only been here for three months, and everything is fine.”
He continued: “We have to continue working and we will see what happens in the future.”
As for joining the Spanish national team, he said: “The truth is that I am very happy, very happy… It is a dream that has come true… Now I want to enjoy every moment that I am here, and every day that I am here and take advantage of the opportunity.”
Grimaldo played 17 matches with Leverkusen in various competitions, where he scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists.
