Berri: Israel Imposes New Facts on the Border, and Lebanon Will Not Accept Any Concessions

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri confirmed in an interview with local media that Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty have not been limited to the five border hills, but have extended to the establishment of a new border strip inside Lebanese territory. He emphasized Beirut’s rejection of any attempts to impose new facts, calling for a unified national stance and international action to stop these violations.

Regarding international aid, Berri stressed that Lebanon would not accept any political or military conditions in exchange for reconstruction, considering that supporting the rebuilding of what the war destroyed should be a national priority without compromising Lebanon’s sovereign rights.

Berri also pointed to the importance of President Michel Aoun’s visit to Saudi Arabia, stressing the need to strengthen direct relations with the kingdom, as this could open opportunities for mobilizing economic aid and Saudi investments in Lebanon, which would positively impact the national economy.
