Brad Pitt’s children abandon their father

The star Brad Pitt’s crisis extended to his children after one of them officially submitted a request to the court to drop his name and officially abandon him, and although she was not the first among them, she was the first to take this step.
The matter began with Shiloh, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, announcing the appointment of a private lawyer and paying his fees in order to submit a request to drop the name “Pitt” from her name and change it to “Shiloh Nouvelle Jolie”, thus after she turned 18 years old.
According to what was published by the Daily Mail newspaper, citing a source close to the family, the real reason behind dropping the father’s name is due to the ongoing disputes between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The surprise was that Shiloh chose to keep her mother’s name and included in the application submitted to the Los Angeles County Superior Court details of the cases. Filed in 2022, Jolie accused her ex-husband, Pitt, of physical assault while they were traveling to California.
When Shiloh, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, filed an official request to the court as soon as she turned 18 to drop her father’s name from her surname, it raised eyebrows among the public, and many questions were raised about why she did so. She is not the first of Angelina and Brad’s children to do so, as her sisters Zahra and Vivienne preceded her, but she is the first to file papers in court to legally change her family name.
The interesting thing is that Angelina Jolie herself did this 22 years ago, as she is the daughter of American actor Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. She was born with the name “Angelina Jolie Voight”, and after crises with her father, who separated from her mother when she was young, Jolie submitted a petition to the court to legally drop the surname “Voight” from her name, and this request was approved in 2002 to become just “Angelina Jolie”.
As the source close to Angelina Jolie’s family revealed, “Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, so Angelina was not aware of the matter and cannot speak on her daughter’s behalf.”
Shiloh filed her application with the court on May 27, the day she turned 18, and hopes to have her name become “Shiloh Nouvelle Jolie” instead of “Shiloh Nouvelle Jolie-Pitt.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have three biological children, including Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15, as well as three adopted children: Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19.
Zahra actually dropped her father’s name from her last name, although informally she introduced herself as “Zahra Marley Jolie”, which she did during her college sorority application ceremony in Atlanta.
Vivian did the same thing after she deleted her father’s name and introduced herself as “Vivian Jolie” during her participation with her mother in the play The Outsiders. The step taken by Shiloh became the boldest because it was officially done by submitting a request to the court in order to change her name legally.
