Breaking: First Turkish Comment on Rising Tensions in Syria’s Coastal Region

In its first comment on the escalating situation in Syria’s coastal region, Turkey stated that the tensions in Latakia and its surrounding areas pose a threat to efforts aimed at guiding Syria toward a unified and stable future, according to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Turkey, in a statement posted on the “X” platform, rejected any attempts that threaten Syrians’ right to live in peace and prosperity, emphasizing the importance of preventing these provocations from turning into a broader threat to Syria’s and the region’s peace.

Turkey also reaffirmed its support for the Syrian people and government, and its opposition to any actions that could destabilize the situation within Syria.
