Breaking | Israel Releases Lebanese Prisoners

Israel’s Army Radio quoted a senior official stating that a decision has been made to release five Lebanese individuals who were detained by the Israeli army in Lebanon over the past months. The release comes as a result of Israeli communications with the United States and Lebanon, according to the official.

U.S. Special Envoy to Lebanon, Morgan Ortagus, confirmed that five Lebanese detainees would be released by Israel. However, she stated that she does not have precise information on the total number of Lebanese prisoners held by Israel.

A convoy from the Lebanese and International Red Cross is set to head to the Ras Naqoura crossing today, Tuesday, to receive them.
