Cameroon: The 43rd Member of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism Led by Saudi Arabia
Cameroon officially announced its membership in the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Thursday, May 1, becoming the 43rd member state.
The joining ceremony took place at the Alliance’s headquarters in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the participation of the Alliance’s Secretary-General, Major General Mohamed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, the Cameroonian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and representatives from member countries.
Al-Moghedi welcomed the move, emphasizing that it enhances coordination in the fight against terrorism, particularly in the intellectual, media, financial, and military domains.
On his part, the Cameroonian Ambassador expressed his country’s pride in joining, highlighting the importance of collective efforts to combat terrorism.
The alliance includes Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Malaysia, and aims to unify efforts to combat terrorism at both regional and international levels.
