China imposes sanctions on Pelosi

China has imposed sanctions on US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her family in response to her visit to Taiwan.
The Chinese foreign minister said that “Pelosi visited Taiwan despite China’s concerns and protests, and severely interfered in China’s internal politics, thus seriously undermining China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity with her visit to Taiwan.”
China considered that Pelosi had dealt a severe blow to the one-China principle, jeopardizing peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
