Chinese Foreign Minister Responds to Attempts to Undermine Relations with Russia
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi affirmed that China and Russia will reject any attempts to undermine their bilateral relations or sow discord, describing such efforts as “mere illusions.”
Wang’s remarks followed President Xi Jinping’s official visit to Moscow, where he participated in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. Xi was one of the main foreign guests at the Victory Day parade held in Red Square on May 9.
The minister stated that both sides reaffirmed during their talks that they consider each other as priority partners, with a shared commitment to preserving their traditional friendship and deep political trust. The visit included a meeting between the two presidents at the Kremlin, where they discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation and coordination on international issues.
