Columbia University protesters declare intractability

Students at Columbia University in New York have declared themselves intractable in some university buildings in response to police action against them.
One protester at Columbia University said: “We continue to stay in the (Hind) building at Columbia University and we will not back down.”
“This solidarity is a peaceful demonstration for 12 days and the participants risk expulsion and arrest.”
She stressed that the blood of students will be drawn by the university council if the police are allowed to enter, noting that what students are doing is exerting pressure on the university.
The Washington Post confirmed that 1,200 students have been detained so far across U.S. universities.
