Columbia University students reject the university presidency’s ultimatum and vote to keep the sit-in

Columbia University students protesting on campus responded to the warning given by the university president to them to disperse the sit-in.
The students said in a response statement that the measures announced by the university administration were illegal, stressing that the university chose to intimidate protesters and ignored the genocide taking place in Gaza.
CNN said student protesters inside Columbia University were voting to stay beyond the university’s deadline for dispersing their sit-in.
