The Lebanese Army said one soldier and three civilians were wounded in Nabatieh al-Fawqa while troops were escorting residents to inspect their property.

Following an engineering inspection, the army said the incident was caused by the explosion of a “suspicious object,” correcting earlier information that had linked the injuries to an Israeli strike.

The government continues to advocate exclusive state control over weapons and decisions of war and peace, while Hezbollah parliamentary bloc leader Mohammad Raad reiterated the group’s commitment to its resistance strategy.

Hezbollah also denied any connection to a cell Syrian authorities said they had detained in Daraa.
