Damascus reveals the extent of oil losses since 2011

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a letter to the United Nations that the size of Syria’s losses in the oil sector exceeded one hundred billion dollars.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry said that “the damage to the oil and mineral wealth sector as a result of American looting and sabotage amounted to $115.2 billion from 2011 until June 2023.”
Syria called on the United Nations to hold American officials accountable for these thefts and oblige them to compensate and end their illegal presence.
