Detection of one of the oldest arts known to humans throughout history
The Chinese “Xinhua” agency said that a Chinese research team found rock paintings estimated to be more than 3,200 years old in three locations within the Tongtian River basin, in the northwest of the country.
The paintings show drawings of human bodies and others of various animals, such as deer, wolves, tigers, sheep, dogs, horses, and camels, as well as plans for two-wheeled vehicles, in addition to various other symbols.
According to what the agency quoted from the head of the research team, Jmyang Nyima, that the number of paintings that were discovered in this region amounts to 59, of which 36 paintings are at an altitude of more than 3800 meters.
It is expected that the study and analysis of these drawings will provide important information about the civilization of the first inhabitants of the region, the extent of their development and perception, the way of life they lived, and perhaps the reasons for their extinction.
