Dozens of Drones in the Sky… A Russian-Ukrainian Confrontation

Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced early Sunday that its air defense forces successfully shot down 95 Ukrainian drones overnight.

According to the ministry, the operations included the downing of 29 drones over the southern Rostov region, 20 over Astrakhan, and the rest over Voronezh, Volgograd, Kursk, Saratov, and Crimea.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities reported on Sunday morning that a Russian drone attack targeted the capital, Kyiv, killing two people and sparking fires in multiple buildings, forcing dozens of residents to evacuate their homes. Officials also confirmed that Kyiv was hit by a similar attack earlier in the night.
