Earthquakes continue in Turkey

The aftershocks did not stop in the country. Today, Wednesday, the Turkish Seismological Institute announced that a new 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Diyarbakir, located in the southeast of the country.

Diyarbakir is one of the areas hit by the devastating earthquake previously. As well as from the affected areas announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In the same context, the Turkish Disaster Management Authority confirmed today that an aftershock of 4.1 degrees on the Richter scale occurred in Kahramashmaraş, the original epicenter of the earthquake.

Where it is mentioned that the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey as well as the north of Syria at the dawn of the sixth of February left more than 47 thousand people dead in the two countries.

It also destroyed thousands of buildings and apartments, and displaced one million people in Turkish regions, and more than 5 million in Syria, according to United Nations estimates.

This earthquake was followed by thousands of aftershocks, in addition to another strong earthquake yesterday evening, which claimed 3 lives in Turkey and 4 in Syria, in addition to hundreds of injuries.
