Elon Musk describes protests against U.S. immigration policies as a “new civil war”
American billionaire Elon Musk suggested that the United States may have entered a new civil war, in remarks regarding a wave of protests against immigration policies, according to a post published on the platform X.
Musk’s comments came in response to a post describing the confrontation between the current U.S. administration and liberal forces as “Civil War 2.0,” noting the escalation of protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations. Musk stated: “It seems that way.”

Several U.S. cities, including Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Boston, New York, and Portland, have witnessed protests against ICE operations, following two fatal shootings during enforcement actions targeting immigrants in Minnesota.
