Erdogan on an official visit to Saudi Arabia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is on an official two-day visit to Saudi Arabia.
This was reported by the Turkish News Agency, noting that the visit is taking place in response to the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, in which he invited Erdogan to visit the kingdom.
The agency also indicated that the Turkish Presidency’s Communication Department issued a statement in this regard, in which it said that Erdogan is scheduled to hold talks with the Saudi monarch within the framework of his two-day visit.
According to the statement, the two sides are scheduled to review the development of cooperation in various fields and bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to bilateral relations between the two countries.
This visit contributes to ending years of estrangement that occurred between the two countries, following a dispute over the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul in 2018.
Turkey also decided, earlier this month, to refer the legal case related to the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul to Saudi Arabia.
Erdogan’s visit to Saudi Arabia comes as part of Turkish efforts aimed at opening a new page of relations with its neighboring regional powers, especially the Arab Gulf states, “without discrimination,” according to a previous expression of the Turkish president.
