The European Union has announced a new round of sanctions targeting individuals and military entities in Syria, citing serious violations of human rights across various regions of the country, including the Syrian coastal area.

The sanctions list includes:
• Mohammad Hussein Al-Jassim, commonly known as Abu Amsha, the leader of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Division, for his alleged involvement in human rights abuses in the Syrian coastal region.
• Saif Boulad Abu Bakr, a commander within the Hamza Division, due to his alleged role in similar violations.

• The Sultan Suleiman Shah Division, designated as an entity responsible for human rights violations inside Syrian territory.
• The Hamza Division, a prominent armed group reportedly backed by Turkey, accused of committing abuses against civilians.
• The Sultan Murad Division, for its alleged involvement in practices that contravene international human rights law.

These measures are part of ongoing efforts by the European Union to address accountability for human rights violations committed in the context of the Syrian conflict.
