Explosion and fire at Ploisiana oil refinery

An explosion caused a massive fire at an oil refinery in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
Authorities said that the explosion broke out at the Marathon Petroleum in Garreville, noting that no injuries had been reported and that the causes of the accident were being investigated.
In a statement, the company stated: “Currently there are no indications of casualties.”
The explosion reportedly occurred in an area known as “Cancer Alley,” which stretches 130 miles along the Mississippi River where residents face high risks of cancer due to high levels of toxic pollution.
