Famous American Actor and His Wife Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances

Renowned American actor Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, 63, were found dead in their home in Santa Fe County, New Mexico.

Police reported no signs of foul play or gunfire. Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza confirmed that the Oscar-winning actor, his wife, and their dog were all found deceased, stating that there were no indications of a crime, forced entry, or gunshot wounds.

Authorities suspect carbon monoxide poisoning as a possible cause, with the state gas company assisting in the investigation.

The couple and their dog passed away on Wednesday, but the official announcement was made on Thursday. While no criminal activity is suspected, the exact cause of death remains undetermined, and investigations are ongoing.

Born in 1930, Hackman’s passing marks the end of an era in classic cinema. He was one of the last legendary actors who left a lasting legacy in Hollywood. His iconic films include The French Connection (1971), which earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor, and Unforgiven (1993), which won him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
