FIFA releases the official song for the World Cup

The FIFA account announced on the YouTube platform the song of the Lebanese singer Myriam Fares, which was specially released for the 2022 World Cup, which is scheduled to open tomorrow evening, Sunday, in the State of Qatar.

The FIFA website said on Friday: “The song witnessed a collaboration aimed at bringing together football and music makers that will express the spirit of the World Cup.”

He also added, “Maluma and Myriam Fares will participate in the opening evening show of the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha, which will open its doors to the fans tomorrow before the first match in the World Cup between Qatar and Ecuador.”

And Maluma said on this occasion: “I am very happy; Being part of this solo song at the World Cup has always dreamed of an opportunity like this. Showcasing Latin music on this world stage with two wonderful artists singing in English and Arabic will take our culture to another level.

For her part, Myriam Fares expressed her happiness at participating in the composition, arrangement, choreography and performances of the song, noting that she had the honor of working with two of her favorite international artists.

The song “Tukoh Taka” was sung by Myriam Fares with Nicki Minaj and Maluma, and featured Myriam and Maluma dancing in what looked like a desert setting while Minaj sang on a fan bus.

Where Myriam Fares was criticized for the similarity of her dance and the way she performed to a large extent with Shakira’s dance and performance in the song “Waka Waka” that was released for the 2010 World Cup, and some indicated that Myriam’s clothes and the way she danced did not fit with Arab norms.

The opening ceremony of the 2022 World Cup will be held tomorrow evening, Sunday, before the start of the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador.
