Media sources revealed that more than 50 children inside a bus fell into a river after a traffic accident during a school trip.
The information added that civil defense teams are now working to rescue the children stuck inside the bus amid great difficulty facing them as a result of the nature of the river.
It also continued that a traffic accident during a school trip led to the bus overturning in the Orontes River in the city of Darkush, west of Idlib.
It is noteworthy that this region has always witnessed similar drowning incidents in the Orontes River in the city of Darkush.
On May 30, Civil Defense announced that the body of a 30-year-old man had been found drowned.
In March, Syrian Civil Defense teams confirmed that water rescue teams had recovered the body of a child who drowned in the same river water after falling while playing near the stream.
